The White House, as you may have heard, is reportedly on the verge of announcing that Yazhidis in Iraq are victims of genocide. They should do so, and they should include the Christians. Christians in Iraq and Syria have been targeted by ISIS, fleeing their homes and encountering continuing brutality in refugee camps. To ignore this is unconscionable.
To turn attention to what’s happening there, the National Review Institute will be teaming up with the Heritage Foundation tomorrow at noon for a panel on Christian martyrdom in the world today. Panelists will shed light both on their plight and what they need, highlighting some of the on-the-ground efforts to help those persecuted for their faith survive in areas where they are not welcome but needed — and want to be (it’s home! — including the very cradle of Christianity!). You can join us tomorrow in person or online. Details are here.
