This morning, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders — two men who are rarely politically aligned — shared a good chuckle over Hillary Clinton’s shifting positions.
Scarborough prods Sanders, “What do you think when you hear her say that she’s been fighting for progressive causes for all of these years — when we’ve seen a flip-flop on Keystone, we’ve seen her flip-flop on same-sex marriage, we’ve seen her flip-flop on financial reform, we’ve seen her flip-flop on trade, we’ve seen her flip-flop – and this is just in the past year or two - and by the way, I’m not being ugly, I’m just telling the truth!”
If even Democrats acknowledge Hillary shifts her positions depending upon her political needs of the moment… wouldn’t it suggest that either Sanders or a general election foe would have an easy time painting her as a hesitant, unsteady hand in difficult times?
