My weekend column dealt with the rape jihad in Germany. I observed the “Stasi-like information suppression” by Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government in attempting to cover up the mass sexual assaults in Cologne and other cities, and, in particular, the fact that they were carried out by some of the 1.1 million Muslim refugees Merkel has recently welcomed into the country.
Slowly, the breadth of the rape jihad in Europe is emerging.
At Powerline, John Hinderaker notes an AP report of “widespread sexual assaults against teenage girls at a music festival last summer” in Sweden. John underscores that both the police and the Swedish press “made a conscious decision to kill the story” because, as the AP recounts, the culprits were “from Afghanistan, many carrying temporary ID-cards issued to asylum-seekers.” Revealing such facts, the Euro-Left fears, “play[s] into the hands of the far-right Sweden Democrats, an anti-immigration party whose support has surged to about 20 percent in opinion polls.”
John translates: “In Europe, ‘far right’ means ‘not crazy about mass immigration from non-Western countries.’” That is, it is the mass of Europe beleaguered by their “progressive” ruling class.
