Hillary’s State Department Calendar Has ‘Scores’ of Events Scrubbed

File this one under unsurprising.

This morning, the Associated Press released a report detailing that Hillary Clinton’s official State Department calendar is missing “scores” of events from her tenure as Secretary, and that some listed events have had details scrubbed. More from the report:

The AP review of Clinton’s calendar — her after-the-fact, official chronology of the events of her four-year term — identified at least 75 meetings with longtime political donors and loyalists, Clinton Foundation contributors and corporate and other outside interests that were either not recorded or listed with identifying details scrubbed. The AP found the omissions by comparing the 1,500-page document with separate planning schedules supplied to Clinton by aides in advance of each day’s events. The names of at least 114 outsiders who met with Clinton were missing from her calendar, the records show.

But that’s not all: Another AP piece from last night reports that Hillary also failed to turn over a key 2010 e-mail regarding her infamous use of a private server. The email — which was part of an exchange with one of her closest aides, Huma Abedin — reads: “Let’s get separate address or device but I don’t want any risk of the personal being accessible.”

Now, Hillary’s devotion to secrecy is not exactly breaking news. Despite once claiming that she is the “most transparent public official in modern times,” she has demonstrated time and time again that she, to put it lightly, plays things close to the vest. But as the campaign marches on and an increasing number of voters say that her handling of her e-mails as secretary of state concerns them, she’ll only face more (deserved) attacks on her honesty and transparency.
