One of the great complaints of Trump supporters is that no one listens to them — a complaint with some merit, I think. Well, I have listened to them. “I hear America singing, the varied carols I hear.” Someone wrote that a while ago. I have heard the carols of the Trumpites.
They include “globalist,” “open borders,” “donor class,” “GOPe,” “RINO,” “cocktail parties,” “perpetual war,” and “Hillaryite.”
Today on the homepage, I detail a Trump lexicon and comment on it. Mine is not a nice piece. But it is a sincere and I think truthful one. Trump supporters will not like it, but some of them may experience a shock, or at least a tremor, of recognition.
“Can we all get along?” That wasn’t Whitman but Rodney King. Yes, we can (oops, that was someone else) — if we want. So, onward.
