China Changes 1-Child to 2-Child Policy

The Chinese tyranny has amended its one-child policy to “allow” couples to have two children.

Why? Not out of the milk of human kindness. China is an aging society and many elderly will not have families to care for them.

Moreover, there are tens of millions more males than females, creating social discord and leaving many men without the prospect of marriage.

From the Telegraph story:

China announced the end of the controversial one-child policy on Thursday as the country’s Communist leaders battle to confront a demographic time bomb by allowing all couples to have two children for the first time in decades…

Chinese experts expect the country’s working population — estimated by the government to be roughly 915 million at the end of 2014 — to drop by around 40 million by 2030.

This doesn’t mean an end to forced abortions, sex selection abortion, or the rampant female infanticide that has destroyed Chinese demographics–but which has not prevented the world’s most politically correct corporations from merrily doing business in the country.

Hopefully the change will reduce the level of such human rights abuses. But we must always remember, less tyranny is still tyranny.

The moral of the story for us is that centralized control almost always creates more problems than it solves. I just wish the West understood that technocracy is not the answer.
